MILWAUKEE, WIS. The Market. The weather was favorable last week and stock has been coming in a little more heavily. There was a heavy cut of tulips, daffodils, spring bulbous stock and sweet peas during the week. There was also a good supply of tulips, hya- cinths and daffodils in pots and pans, and the stores are making a specialty of these at the present time. Carnations and roses are coming in about normal, and the supply is equal to the demand. There is also a good supply of violets, lilies and green goods on the market. Even with the favor- able, mild weather, lilies are backward and a big proportion of them will not come in for Easter. Hydrangeas also appear to be scarce. However, there are a few rambler roses and cyclamen plants to be had. Various Notes. The Florists' Club had a well at- tended meeting Thursday evening, March 3, with President Guttermuth in the chair. It was a lively meeting, and considerable discussion regarding the advisability of using tractors for culti- vating was taken up. The Milwaukee Pottery, which had been operating at top speed the last month, has shut down for an indefinite time, but no doubt will be reopened again soon, as there is a good field for a pottery here. Allen Strauss, wlio represents Lion & Co., New York, is spending a few days in the city with his wife. They are on their honeymoon. They contemplate go- ing to California. A smooth young chap has been pur- chasing flowers from several downtown florists for wedding or
