Spiritualism - Home of the Fox sisters,( Margaret also known as Margaretta and Maggie 1833–1893), (Catherine, also known as Kate 1837–1892) and (Leah 1814–1890) in Hydesville ,New York 1848. The house, considered to be haunted is recognised by many to be the birthplace of spiritualism. The hamlet of Hydesville no longer exists. It was a hamlet that was part of the township of Arcadia in Wayne County, New York, close to Newark.
