A pair of eel spears, also known as gleaves, Dorset England UK GB on a white background
Eel spears were once popular in the UK and other countries for capturing eels. A lot of work went into making some of them and there were different styles. The spear was secured on the end of a long wooden pole and thrust into water in areas where eels were present and the eels were jammed between the tines. Dorset England UK GB
