Attop, on a level with the charging hole, the form of this furnaceis circular ; at the level of the tuyeres it is a parallelogram,with truncated angles ; and at the ÌDottom, a square. The dis-tance between the back and front walls is, at the tuyeres, 4 ft.,and the width, 2 ft. 6 in. The diameter of the charging hole is 2 ft.
