Crossing Itaguaré-Marins is among the most classic hiking long mountaineering course in Brazilian. It was opened in 1993 Hair Hiker Center of Campinas (CEC) and runs the mountainous ridge that exists between the Itaguaré Pico and Pico dos Marins. In his half ago the Round Stone, a large mass of rock that is only possible to see far in this format. The Peak Itaguaré (), which in Tupi means Cracked Stone is a beautiful all solid indented by large vertical cracks in its southwest face. The Pico dos Marins () is the highest point of the whole massif and the most sought after by mountaineers. The vegetation found during the crossing is characterized as high camps and is part of the Atlantic Forest. It is possible to note from 1,800 a wide variety of orchids, bromeliads, elephant grass, Amaryllis famous among others. This is one of the most beautiful adventures of all Mantiqueira! A Grade 6 is a pioneer in this area and has developed activities related to mountaineering since 1994.
