The annual show of rhododendrons, azaleas and hardy iris will be held at Horticultural hall, June 4 and 5. These dates will be too late for iris, most of which are now in flower, but many peonies will be in season. The dates, June 18 and 19, for the show of the American Peony Society, is too late. The season has been so precarious that it has been hard to arrange dates. The Houghton-Gorney Co. had the decorations at Unity House, Boston, for the annual convention of the Ameri- can Unitarian Association, Laymen's League and kindred Unitarian bodies. W. N. C. NEWPORT, R. I. The Newport Horticultural Society is preparing for an unusually busy year, with several exhibitions to be staged be- tween now and winter. The first exhibi- tion will be held at Music hall on the fourth Thursday in June, and it is evi- dent from the prospectus that the show will be somewhat different from that of last year, as a great many novelties are planned. It will be a one-day exhibi- tion, admission to the public being free. Richard Gardner will have charge of the staging. Sweet peas, roses and car- nations will be the chief features. W. H. M. UTICA, N. Y. The Utica Floral Co. has recently installed a large modern display refrig- erator in its Genesee street store.
