Plant pathologist studying fungi. Fruiting bodies, or basidiocarps, of fungi are growing on the twigs in the chamber. The pathologist is counting the basidiocarps before collecting fungal spores (fungal sex cells) from them, which will be studied in the laboratory to identify biocontrol agents. Biocontrol is the control of pests using natural predators and parasites.
