Using a seine, workers from the NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation collect a sample of fish at the Brooklyn Bridge Park site in the Great Hudson River Estuary Fish Count on Saturday, August 15, 2015. The estuary is home to over 200 species and everything from silversides to striped bass to herring and an assortment of crabs have been collected. The naturalists count the different species and offer an explanation to interested viewer before returning the fish to their home. (© Richard B. Levine)
