Players of the steel bands have to push their flocks along the streets near the venue and wait their turn to perform at Panorama. Mangrove, the reigning winner, is also the largest band with 110 players of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds. The band was established in 1980 by Trinidad immigrants who wanted to express their cultural heritage. This event is the warm up for Notting Hill Carnival, the largest street festival In Europe, that starts on Sunday in London.
