Blue sky grey clouds view north to Grand Teton, Mount Owen, Teewinot Mountain, Mount Saint John, from Glacier View Turnout, Jackson, Wyoming, USA

Blue sky, white grey stratocumulus clouds sunny summer afternoon view, from Glacier View Turnout, towards the sharp peak of the Grand Teton (left of shot), looking north to Mount Owen, Teewinot Mountain and Mount Saint John (far right). The Grand Teton, the second highest peak in Wyoming and the highest in the Teton Range, stands 4199 metres (13,770 feet) above sea level. Mount Owen rises 3940 metres (12,928 feet) and Teewinot Mountain 3758 metres (12,330 feet). Mount Saint John stands 3485 metres (11,435 feet) above sea level. The Grand Teton may have been so-named by 19th Century fur-trappers being derived from the French 'large teat'. The name, alternatively, may derive from the Teton Sioux. 'Teewinot' derives from a Shoshone word meaning 'many pinnacles'.
