Stok Palace Heritage Hotel, Stok, Ladakh, India


The Stok Palace Heritage Hotel near Leh, Ladakh. The area is famous for the Stok Gompa (also called Kurphuk monastery), a Buddhist monastery founded in the 14th century and it is notable for containing all 108 volumes of the Kangyur consisting of works supposed to have been spoken by the Buddha himself. Many people also visit here to see the 71 foot high seated golden Gautama Buddha statue located above the
