To the Honorable the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore: The Public Park Commission present their Twenty-sixth Annual Report. During the past year the passenger railways havepaid the park tax due by them respectively, with thesingle exception referred to in the last annual Union Railway Company still withholds the taxchargeable to that portion of its line lying beyond thepresent boundaries of the city. The same questionthat arises here was made by all the other railwaycompanies, but was abandoned, and their respectivetaxes have since been regularly paid.
