The Crillon is in one of thosebig, old buildings on the north side of thePlace de la Concorde and is the very latestthing in the hotel line in Paris. It is astately, old building erected 1762-1770, andwas called Hotel Crillon-Coislin, but Idont believe it was ever an inn before. Twoyears ago, when I was here, they had juststarted to renovate the old building, and atthe time I wondered what they were goingto do to it and was relieved when I foundit was not to be pulled down.
