HS2 have felled a large part of the ancient woodland at Jones Hill Wood for the construction of the controversial High Speed 2 Rail link from London to Birmingham. The HS2 mitigation for this is called translocation where HS2 scoop up the woodland floor and dump it into a nearby field.
