A Persian kard with a silver Turkmen scabbard, circa 1800 A sturdy wootz-Damascus blade with cut hairline grooves and gold-inlaid decoration on the back. Both sides of the base of the blade and the grip ferrule display decorative gold script in reverse inlay. Intact walrus ivory grip scales with heavily rubbed gold inlay on the iron grip frame.
