Iceland, Snaefellsnes peak on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula on the west coast of Iceland with twisted colours as seen by Kodak Infra-Red film
The image is from a scanned Kodak Infra-Red tranny from 1973 which shows the peak of Snaefel, the highest peak on the Snaefel Peninsula on the west coat of Iceland. The drama shown in the photograph is because infra-red film records the opposite colours of what is seen with the greens of foliage becoming red as in a volcanic lava flow. The bonus as such is that the emulsion layer of the film has reticulated to provide a crazy paving texture across the image
