A long mangel, resembling in form and size the Red Mammoth; flesh, leaf-stalk and mid-rili golden yellow; flesh rich in saccharine matter (sugar). Should be grown by all dairymen. Red Globe. A large, red, oval variety ; keeps well, and produces better crops on shallow soil than the Long Red. Yellow, or Orange Globe.' Same as above, only different in color. Spargel-Kohl, Ger. Choit-Brocoli, Fr. Broculi, Sp. White Cape. The best variety. Large, compact heads of a creamy white color and of good flavor. Can be grown where Cauliflower makes an uncertain crop.
