Hugh Miller Cottage and Museum Cromarty Black Isle Scotland


Editorial use only. Hugh Miller (1802-1856) was a Scottish geologist and writer who lived in this cottage in Cromarty. The cottage is now a museum containing a geological collection. Hugh Miller also wrote poetry and essays. He became involved in the moves that led to the disruption of the Church of Scotland. His cottage is now being cared for by the National Trust for Scotland.
