But it was not of the city, or the town,of which I was going to speak, but of acharming little girl,—the kind and gentleRose, who is as blooming and fresh as theflower that bears her name. Now everybody loves Rose, not so much for her bright 50 ROSE, sparkling eyes and beautiful face, as forher kind and loving disposition. No onethat ever looked upon her beaming coun-tenance, or listened to her dovelike voice,could forget her,—if not made happier,and even better. Rose
