As near asthe earnings can be estimated at present the ticket sales atthe various Brooklyn stations after May 1, 1908, will be atabout the following rates per year: Borough Hall 7,500,000 Atlantic Avenue 9,500,000 Nevins Street 2,500,000 Hoyt Street 2,500,000 a total for the Brooklyn extension of 22,000,000 pas-sengers per year. MONTHLY VARIATIONS IN TRAFFIC The ticket sales from month to month show a charac-teristic variation throughout the year, the lowest valuesoccurring during July and August of each year and thehighest during December. The percentage relation of thelowest and highest monthly values to the average monthlyvalue for the corresponding year and the ratio each yearbetween the maximum month and the minimum month areshown in the accompanying table. It will be noticed thatthis latter ratio is decreasing; that is, that the falling off inpatronage during the summer months is less evidencedeach year.
