A fine survey of the valley, for vvhicli the evening-light is mostfavourable, is obtained from the (IV4 hr.) Belvedere on the Crepa (5035),a prominent rocky hill on the W. side of the valley. We ascend the Fal-zarego road to (3 M.) a finger-post indicating a steep path to the left (to theinn, 10 min.), or (easier) we may follow the road for V*^ M. more, to afinger-post on the hill beyond the Crepa, and proceed thence to the left to(5 min.) the Inn on the nearer side of the rock (guide unnecessary; horse2, light carriage 2V2 A.)- In the wood, beyond the Belvedere, are severaldeep fissures in the rock, of which the traveller should beware. — A
