Smaller: uo white edging to the primaries chrysogaster, p. 52. * Bonaparte described in 1837 a Guiraca magnirostris, which in 1850 he referred with doubt to the genus Pheucticus; but it is so badly diagnosed that I have not been able to identify the species, nor has Mr. Salvin been able to make it out. As Swainson had already described a Guiraca magnirostris, Bona- parte's name became untenable, and in 1869 Count Salvadoi-i re-named the species Pheucticus bonapartii, which name it will bear when any one is able to identify it.
