The 167th Airlift Wing launched four missions over two days in support of Hurricane Harvey rescue, recovery and relief efforts, September 3-4. The unit's C-17 aircraft flew from their home station in Martinsburg, to the 193rd Special Operations Wing in Middletown, Pa. where personnel and equipment from the 628th Aviation Support Battalion and the 2nd Battalion, 104th Aviation Regiment were loaded and transported to an Army aviation support facility in Austin, Texas. The 167th AW hauled a total of tons of cargo, including generators, portable water tanks, vehicles and forklifts, and 32 passengers on the four missions from Pennsylvania to Texas.
