The Green-backed Night Heron, or Striated Heron as it is known in East Africa, is a shy but common and widespread waterbird of inland waterways, both seasonal and permanent. They have a typical crouching posture then hunt fish and invertebrates using stealth and occassionally witnessed using lures to attract prey. A definite case of a bird tool-using.
