A Mameluke sabre, circa 1810 Broad, curved blade, etched and with traces of gilding, partially minimally pitted, the obverse with the English coat of arms, the motto of the Most Noble Order of the Garter and floral ornaments, the reverse also with floral etchings and maker's inscription. Iron engraved quillons. Typically curved grip with horn grip scales, grip frame (engraved en suite) and inlaid silver vacant cartouches.
