Butanol, molecular model. This is the n-butanol form of this alcohol, with the hydroxide group in the primary position. n-butanol is found in many foods and beverages, sometimes as a flavouring. It is also an intermediate product in industry, being used to make more complex chemicals. The model shows the atoms (spheres) connected by bonds (rods).
