To uropygium probably also belong tlie feathers of tii(^ pteryla- femorales, or at any rate those are commonly ijicluded with the rump in descrip- tions; but they more properly represent the flanks (Lat. ilia, or hi/pochondria) ; that is, sides (if the rump.
