This photograph displays a bicycle which has been left in an entrance way in Beijing. It is leaning against a wall and is not far from an open doorway. Some shadows have been formed by the bright natural lighting which is coming through the door and falling upon the bike. As a whole, this image evokes a sense of calm and reminiscence for the past as the bike looks quite old. However, it may also be interpreted as a symbol of Chinese culture, where using a bike is a large part of their lifestyle.
