Alien planetary system. Computer artwork of a view across an alien moon towards the star 51 Pegasi (upper left) and a planet (small sphere) orbiting it. 51 Pegasi is a Sun-like star located 51 light years from Earth, in the constellation Pegasus. It was the first Sun-like star found to have a planet orbiting it. The planet shown here is a Hot Jupiter - it has a mass similar to Jupiter but orbits much closer to its sun, meaning it has a much higher surface temperature.
