All Saints church at Earls Barton with its highly decorative Saxon tower, Northamptonshire, England

The tower of All Saints church at Earls Barton in Northamptonshire is all that remains of the original Saxon Turriform church. Its decoration with Limestone Pilaster strips and Strapwork is unique to Anglo-Saxon architecture. The tower is constructed of local stone giving it strength and is an example of traditional 'Long and Short' work
