[g[g Mention The BeTlew when yon write. DULTTTH, MINN. The Market. The cut flower market has been un- certain for the last week, stock being scarce. There has been a large run on funeral work and it was almost impos- sible to get flowers at any price for this work. Flowers for the hospital and sick room are in great demand and, though the prices are somewhat higher than holiday prices, it is hard to get enough stock to supply the demand. The stock that is available is good. Boses were never bettor and carnations are fine. A few daffodils and Paper Whites are arriving, but not enough to be noticed. Freesias, mignonette and calendulas are in short supply. Single and double violets have been a great help in the funeral work. Flowering plants such as cinerarias, cyclamens and primulas were life-savers last week, having been used in the place of cut flowers. "Valley is plentiful, good and much lower in price. Various Notes. Philip Weil, of C. C. Pollworth Co., Milwaukee, Wis., was a visitor last week. The Duluth Floral Co. had a large casket cover for the Ames funeral, composed of valley and Russell roses. O. J. Eischen, who has been away from business for a week with the flu, is im- proving now, but it will be some time before he will be back at business again. J. J. Le Borious reports busine
