Johannes Hus in the Nieuwe Waterweg. Crew tow Maas Annotation: Johannes Hus was a Swedish freighter that had collided with a Panamanian freighter and then almost completely burned out. The sea leper Maas managed to board and store the ship. According to newspaper reports from that time, Wim de Beus (19) from Amersfoort, Jan Sebel (20) and Ben Brokken (17) from Vlaardingen were the ones who performed the bold action and are probably shown here in the photo.
