Air Ambulance. Paramedic climbing into an Air Ambulance at the scene of an accident. This air ambulance, a Eurocopter 105 DBS, came into operation on 27 August 1992. An air ambulance is a helicopter equipped with life-support systems and staff for emergency medical cases. It provides a rapid response to casualties in inaccessible locations, as it can perform vertical take-offs and landings in confined spaces. Photographed in Devon.
