The hearing was had at Saratoga; by aunanimous vote of the court Judge Barnard was foundguilty, and by an almost unanimous vote he was debarredfrom ever after holding any position of honor or trust intheState. This was thefirst and only court of impeachmentever held in this State. H. G. Prindle, judge of Chenangocounty, and George M. Curtis, a judge of the marinecourt of New York, were afterward tried by the Senate,but a majority of that body voted against their the expiration of his senatorial term Mr. Cock.
