Now thatthe seeds are coming in it would appear that theharvests on the whole have turned out smaller eventhan was latterly expected. The crops of MeadowFoxtail, Meadow and Tall Fescue, Cocksfoot, andPoas, are almost a complete failure ; while of small-leaved Fescue, Crested Dogstail, Sweet Vernal andTimothy the crops are smaller than they have beenseen for years past. In France the crops are no betterthan in Germany, and growers are already askinghigh prices for beeds. Already there is a greatdemand for Hard Fescue, Crested Dogstail, Poas, l^c,and prices advance.
