Blooming lilac or pipe tree early in the morning.

Lilac (Syringa vulgaris), common name applied to any of a genus of hardy deciduous shrubs of the olive family. The genus, which is native to temperate Eurasia, includes about 25 species, many of which are cultivated. The flowers, borne in dense, showy, branching inflorescences, have a four-toothed, united calyx, a four-lobed corolla. Common, or purple, lilac is a large shrub growing as high as 6 m. In the spring it produces fragrant flowers of a purplish shade called lilac. It is native to eastern Europe and has been naturalized and cultivated throughout the temperate regions. Purple lilac is the state flower of New Hampshire. It is found in many double-flowered varieties and in a white form.
