Loughborough Park Estate, currently being redeveloped by Guinness Trust. SEE DESCRIPTION FOR DETAILS.

The Loughborough Park estate, owned by the Guinness Trust, was designed by Edward Armstrong and built in 1939. The Trust are currently demolishing the 390 flats and building new energy efficient flats in their place. The 487 new homes will give residents more space and modern facilities and the Trust have confirmed that none of them will be for sale or letting at full market rents. However, affordable rents can be up to 80% of the market rent and there have been protests from residents who will be unable to afford the new accommodation. Photograph shows entrance to the estate with clock on the moderne community hall and estate office.
