It is fastened at G to the shaft, and woundspirally thereon, as shown, the coil extending from end to end of theshaft; then the other end is attached to the shaft B at H, and, the shaftsbeing turned by hand, the belt will be wound off from A and on to B, andat the same time stretched as much as is due to the difference in speed ofthe shafts.
