Ichthyosis also called fish skin disease or xeroderma includes any of several inherited skin conditions in which the skin is dry and cracked like fish scales It usually appears at or shortly after birth and may be part of one of several rare syndromes A rare acquired variety seen here occurs in adult life with some tumours
