Granville Island is a former industrial area of Vancouver situated under the Granville Street Bridge. There are still a few industrial sites, including a large cement company, but today there is a mixture of interests. One is able to find places to eat looking over the waterway, theatres, an Art College, a fantastic public market, and numerous retail outlets. It is a point of interest for locals and tourists.
