The Cross of St. Andrew, in heraldry, is termed the CrossSaltire, emblem of suffering and humility. Tradition says thatSt. Andrew was crucified on the 30th of November, on a cmss ofthat form. The beautiful Masonic doctrine of Toleration is exemplified inthis, the last of the instructive degrees of the Historical andPhilosophical Series.
