It is of American origin, having been found growing in a private garden in the historic Cumberland Valley—a sport from that pretty Moss Rose Princess Ade- laide, itself a strong, vigorous grower, which is wonderfully developed in the offspring, the original sport the first season having attained a height of over fifteen feet and had one hun- dred and eighteen buds and flowers on it at one time. The past season, planted side by side with Crimson Rambler and other rampant growers, it fully equaled them in vigor of growth. In color it is identical to the parent, a bright silvery rose, very double ; the buds nicely mossed and ex- quisitely fragrant. Altogether a most unique and desirable acquisition. 2J in. pots, $ per doz.; $ per 100. New Hybrid Evergreen Wichnraiana Roses. These pretty hybrids of this most useful Rose are quite hardy and need no protection whatever in winter, and from their trailing habit are admirably adapted for covering rock-work or bare spaces, as well as planting in the border. They are of very free growth, with foliage of a fine deep green, which lasts until well on in the vnnter. The flowers are produced in immense quantities, and last a long time in perfection.
