Baden: A helmet for officers, of the 1st Baden Leib Grenadier Regiment No. 109. The leather skull shows minimal crazing, the seam of the rear peak has opened on one side. A tall, unscrewable spike, and a large plate bearing in its centre the star of the House Order of Loyalty, with some damage to the enamel of the left and lower limb of the cross. Flat chinscales attached to officers' style cockades. The liner of ribbed silk is a bit loose and shows traces of wear, as does the sweatband. The size is given on the interior of the skull as 54.
