Valuable as a garden vari- ety, will also prove most valuable for interior dec- oration, particularly so as the intensity of coloring Is especially effective under artificial light. $ per 100. .Vornian Lambert (McGredy, 1926). The formation and size of the flowers reminds one of Golden Em- blem but with a distinct color combination that is novel. The outside of the petals is a deep chrome- yellow with a marginal color effect of brilliant or- ange-scarlet merging to an irregular zone of burnt orange, the inside salmon-orange suffused bronze, shading to yellow at the base. The flowers are of medium size and form with petals of good texture. delightfully fragrant and exceptionally free-flower- ing. $; per 100. Padre (B. R. Cant, 1920). Most attractive and novel in coloring, with long petals of a coppery scarlpt flushed with yellow at the base. Growth strong and upright and exceedinglv free-flowering.
