A wheellock rifle, Eichstädt, circa 1700 Slightly swamped octagonal barrel with eight-groove rifled bore in 15 mm calibre. Dovetailed iron sight (old lining on top of the barrel). Wheellock with chiselled tendrils and internal wheel, the lockplate with a standing lion and with monogram "HET", as well as inscription "IN EYCHSTET". Double set trigger. Florally carved walnut stock (shortened and later attached forestock) with a patchbox offset by horn. Iron trigger guard with finger rests, the side opposite the lock with inlaid brass plate.
