WISCONSIN REFUGEE 5 to 5^ Developed by Dr. J. C. Wralker and Dr. W. H. Pierce cooperatively and introduced by the University of Wisconsin in 1934; resistant to common bean mosaic; in season and plant character very similar to Keeney's Stringless Green Refugee. Pods slightly curved, medium long, round, stringless, of fine quality. Seed violet-purple splashed with pale buff.
