Procession to welcome the early release of suffragettes from prison on 19 December 1908. Procession in Trafalgar Square to welcome Emmeline Pankhurst (1858-1928), Christabel Pankhurst (1880-1958) and Mary Leigh (1885-1965) on their early release from Holloway Prison. Women on white horses drew their carriage and lines of WSPU (Women's Social and Political Union) members marched in support. The three women had been jailed for their part in inciting the public to 'rush' the House of Commons in October 1908.
