A dish full of sea glass worn smooth from ocean movement and collected from the seabed off of St. Croix, Virgin Islands. Sea glass is a product of discarded glass or china items dumped or thrown into the sea over years, decades, centuries. The tide and waves break up the items, and over time, the sand dulls sharp edges. Sea glass can be found in shallow water of a beach, usually by someone snorkeling. The sea glass is often used for creating one of a kind jewelry.
