ARABIAN GULF (May 7, 2017) Capt. James McCall III, commander, Carrier Air Wing 8, and Cmdr. Kevin Robb, commanding officer of the "Blacklions" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 213, prepare to launch from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George Bush (CVN 77) (GHWB) in an F/A-18F Super Hornet attached to (VFA) 213 before McCall's 1,000th arrested landing. GHWB is deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
