A $100,000 check, made out to North Korean defector, Lt. No Kum-Sok, was the reward for flying a MiG-15 jet fighter into the hands of the Air Force on the morning of September 21, 1953 to South Korea. No flew his Mikoyan-Gurevich fighter from Sunan airfield near Pyongyang, North Korea to the Kimpo Air Base in South Korea, after landing he requested asylum and turned the fighter over to USAF personnel.
